Proportional Valve Supplier in India: Rexroth, Moog and Parker Control Systems

Proportional and servo valves are where hydraulics stops being on-off and starts being controllable. They are also where the most expensive mistakes happen, because a valve and its amplifier card have to be matched, and because these valves demand fluid cleanliness that most Indian plants are not actually achieving.

As a proportional valve supplier in India, Yashvi Hydraulics supplies valves, matched cards and the filtration that keeps them alive. This guide covers the main brands and how to specify correctly.

Proportional versus servo — the practical difference

Proportional valve Servo valve
Spool overlap Overlapped, with a deadband Zero or near-zero lap
Response speed Good Very high bandwidth
Fluid cleanliness needed ISO 17/15/12 ISO 15/13/10 or cleaner
Cost Moderate High
Typical use Injection moulding, presses, machine tools, mobile Test rigs, flight simulators, high-precision positioning

Most industrial applications in India, including the great majority of injection moulding, are served properly by proportional valves. Yashvi Hydraulics will say so rather than upselling a servo valve you do not need.

Rexroth proportional valves

The most widely installed proportional range in India.

As a Rexroth valve supplier in India and a Rexroth amplifier card supplier in India, Yashvi Hydraulics supplies valve and card together. Our Rexroth valve page covers the wider range including 4WE solenoid directional valves and DBW pressure relief valves.

Moog servo and proportional valves

Moog is the reference name in servo valves. The D633 and D634 direct drive families, the D661 and D765 series, and the classic G761 two-stage servo valves appear on test rigs, presses, plastics machinery and steel mill hydraulics across India.

As a Moog valve supplier, Yashvi Hydraulics handles enquiries for these units and their integrated electronics. Two things to know before ordering a Moog valve:

  1. Cleanliness is not optional. A servo valve in a system running at ISO 19/17/14 will misbehave and then fail. Fit fine pressure line filtration ahead of it and verify with an oil sample.
  2. Many Moog valves have onboard electronics, so the command signal type and supply voltage are part of the specification, not an afterthought.

Parker and Yuken proportional valves

Parker’s D1FP and D3FP proportional directional valves and Yuken’s EDG, EHDG and EFBG proportional range both appear widely on Indian machinery. Yashvi Hydraulics quotes these alongside Rexroth where the machine was originally built around them, since matching the original brand usually avoids re-tuning the whole axis.

The amplifier card is half the system

A proportional valve cannot be driven directly from a PLC output. The card converts a 0 to 10 volt or 4 to 20 milliamp command into precisely regulated coil current, and shapes it. Four adjustments matter:

If a valve was replaced and the fault returned, check the card before replacing the valve again. Put a meter on the card output and confirm coil current tracks the command linearly across the full range. This is the single most common misdiagnosis Yashvi Hydraulics sees.

Our proportional card page covers the range, and proportional valves covers the valves.

Proportional valve or proportional pump?

A proportional pump varies displacement at source, so the system only generates the flow it needs. That keeps oil temperature down and cuts energy cost, which matters on machines running continuous shifts.

A proportional valve controls flow at the actuator, giving faster dynamic response and independent control of several axes from one supply.

Many well-designed machines use both: a variable displacement pump setting overall supply, proportional valves shaping individual movements. If you are specifying a system rather than replacing a part, talk it through with Yashvi Hydraulics first — the right architecture saves more in running cost than the component price difference.

Contamination will kill these valves

Proportional and servo valves have far tighter internal clearances than standard directional valves. A particle a 4WE would pass without noticing will hold a proportional spool off position and destroy repeatability.

Yashvi Hydraulics supplies filter elements in the fine micron ratings these valves need, alongside the valves themselves.

Supply Across India, Dubai and Export Markets

Yashvi Hydraulics despatches nationwide from our base in India. Regular delivery destinations include Delhi NCR covering Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, Mumbai and Pune, Kolkata and Howrah in West Bengal, plus Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and Jamshedpur.

For overseas customers, Yashvi Hydraulics ships regularly to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Jebel Ali in the UAE, and to Dammam, Jubail and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. We also export to Kenya, South Africa, Russia and the United States. Export packing and documentation are handled in-house, and we quote on ex-works, FOB or CIF terms as you prefer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use any amplifier card with any proportional valve?

No. The card must match the coil current rating and the valve’s characteristics. A generic card gives poor low-end response and unstable behaviour at speed. Send the valve model code to Yashvi Hydraulics and we will supply the correct card.

Do you supply Moog valves in India?

Yes. Yashvi Hydraulics handles Moog servo and proportional valve enquiries, sourced through our import channels. We are an independent supplier, not an authorised Moog distributor, and we say so on every quotation.

My proportional valve is jerky at low speed. What is wrong?

Usually dither set too low, or contamination causing spool stiction. Check the card settings first, then take an oil sample. Replacing the valve without fixing the cleanliness just puts a new valve into the same problem.

What is a control valve versus a proportional valve?

Control valve is a general term covering pressure, flow and directional control. A proportional valve is a specific type where spool position varies continuously with an electrical command rather than switching between fixed positions. Yashvi Hydraulics supplies both across the hydraulic valve range.

Do you supply high pressure hydraulic valves?

Yes. Yashvi Hydraulics supplies directional, pressure and proportional valves rated to 4000 psi in high-strength steel, for industrial and construction machinery across India, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
