Proportional Card
A proportional card is the amplifier that sits between your machine control system and a proportional valve. It converts a low-power command signal into the precisely regulated coil current the valve solenoid needs, and provides the adjustments that shape how the valve responds.
Key Functions
- Current regulation — closed-loop control of solenoid current for repeatable valve position
- Ramp generation — adjustable acceleration and deceleration ramps for smooth motion
- Dither — small superimposed oscillation that overcomes valve spool friction and improves resolution
- Deadband compensation — removes the dead zone around the valve null position
- Gain and offset adjustment — matches the card output to the specific valve

Available as plug-in Eurocard modules, DIN rail mounted units and valve-mounted onboard electronics.

Matching Card to Valve
The card must match the valve coil current rating and supply voltage. Send us the valve part number and the command signal type your controller outputs, and we will supply the correct card.
